Corrupt Media, Corrupt Data is constructed of business card CD-R’s that were used for a commissioned work intended as an edition of 100. After 53% of the edition failed to duplicate properly, this stack of CD-R’s containing corrupted data on a media chosen for its aesthetic value rather than its reliability became a work in-itself. Corrupt Media, Corrupt Data questions the place of sound art in the marketplace and examines when—or if—a work gains its value.
